I remember seeing these last year and thinking they were fairly awesome. Being as we are quickly approaching the summer season again I’m sure there will be a scramble by the girls to find some lovely pool/beach wear. The greatest thing about this company is they hand make every single item and being a great believer in craftI’m really into this collaboration between oscarandelvis and peoplelikeus. Check out the Summer 09/10 range here.
Aanteni is a super sonic punch to the senses of pure video radness. Rodarte certainly know how to blow the socks off a new collection. Teamed up with supermodel Guinevere van Seenu, videographer Todd Cole, Elon Musk and L.A. noise makers No Age to create this visual masterpiece that fuses Fashion, Art and Music in to one all mighty pot to form ‘2010: A Space Odyssey’.
“Guinevere van Seenus stars in Aanteni, a high-fashion techno-thriller from CFDA award-winning design sisters Rodarte, shot by their friend and frequent collaborator, the photographer and video artist Todd Cole. Set in the deserted grounds of Paypal founder Elon Musk’s Space X jet lab in Hawthorne, California, the film was inspired by the pioneering spirit of the space race, which, according to Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy, “has defined generations of artists in their desire to use new mediums and question the established rules they were taught to follow.” This cinematic collision between rocket science and visual daring is an apt match for Rodarte’s spring 2010 collection—a symphony of flesh-colored crochet knits, fluorescent fibres, leather bandages and distressed plaid. Costumed in a series of these exquisite creations, Van Seenus blurrily emerges from a shimmering seascape before running through the starkly alluring spaces of the Space X facility—a former Boeing airline hanger that has been transformed into what the Mulleavys call “a world defined by color, texture and material.” Van Seenus’ hallucinatory journey, punctuated by glimpses of mysterious experiments and sudden rocket blasts, is chillingly soundtracked by LA noise-merchants No Age. We advise you to strap in and don a helmet for the spectacular finale—a truly stratospheric experience that takes Rodarte’s unique vision beyond the final frontier.”

Yet again Insight clothing manage to produce the goods with this achingly cool Australian road trip film. Look out for the Flaming Lips very own Wayne Coyne. Check out the site here.
French Designer Georgia Hardinge launches her AW 2010 Ready to Wear Collection with the short film, “Cage”. Screening at her exhibition at Somerset House this Feb, be prepared to see her structured designs come to life on Romanian born model Alina Zaharia. Conceptualizing for her film I took inspiration from her stiff structured pieces and highly creative embroidery. Hardinge exaggerates the female form with exposed boning and thick shapely embroidery, taking unconventional shapes and transforming them into truly ready to wear pieces.
It may be December but you can’t deney how amazing the We Are Handsome swimwear is. A collaboration between Indhra Chagoury and Jeremy Somers each piece is made by hand, with the finest quality Italian Lycra, printed with high density inks with limited edition designs.
Sometimes I wish I was a rich black rapper so I could afford and sport stuff like this. I have been constantly going back to these images over the past few weeks and I absolutely love them. It’s called Revolver clothing, and based on several different things I have read I believe they are out of Japan and really hard to get a hold of. The designs are by SO ME of the Ed Banger crew which is of course a great thing. Anyway, enjoy them, but unless your Kanye West I am not sure you’re going find/afford of this stuff so enjoy these lo-res jpegs! Heck mock up some photoshoped versions with your face in them for all I care!

Keep cosy this winter by getting your own custom hand-made wooley hat from Grannies, Inc. You design it and then choose the granny that you want to knit it. Pretty genius.
